Indian Wrestling Federation Chief Gets Bail Extension in Sexual Harassment Case, Reports ANI

A New Delhi court, as reported by Reuters' TV partner ANI, has extended the bail of the chief of India's Wrestling Federation, who stands accused of sexually harassing female wrestlers. Brij Bhushan Singh, also a federal lawmaker from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party, was initially granted interim bail for two days on Tuesday, but it has now been converted to regular bail.

According to ANI, the court imposed several conditions when granting the bail. These conditions include not attempting to directly or indirectly influence the complainants or witnesses, as well as obtaining the court's permission before leaving the country.

The next court hearing in this case is scheduled for July 28, as reported by ANI. The allegations against Singh involve six female wrestlers who claim they faced sexual harassment and intimidation during training camps and international competitions.

Singh has vehemently denied all the accusations.
